Peacefully at Calderdale Royal Hospital, aged 75 years.

Dearly loved husband of Julie, dear Brother of Linda, brother-in-law, uncle, Step father and grandad.

Will friends please meet for service at Huddersfield Crematorium on Tuesday 31st March 2026 at 2:00pm.

Family flowers only please, but donations would be appreciated for Yorkshire Cancer Research, which may be left as you leave the service.

Sorry for the delay but have been overseas. We are heartbroken to have lost such a good and true friend and a brilliant bloke. I've been mate's with 'Phipps' since year dot and can say without fear of contradiction that you could not have met a better man. Loyal, generous, great sense of humour, truly one of Marsden's best ever. To Julie and all Phipps' loved ones our deepest sympathy. There'll never be another Phipps. RIP mate.
